World Class Products - Personal Service
It Starts with Quality
We build high-quality, user-friendly products that perform as well as they look. From the full synthetic fluid we use
in every shock to the tightly held tolerances on our internal parts, quality is never compromised to save a dollar.
Quality + Design = Accuracy
All Slade products are 100% original designs done completely In-House. This allows us to control every aspect from
start to finish which produces high precision parts and valving accuracy that is 2nd to none.
NO RECYLED, REPURPOSED OR REANODIZED PARTS FROM OTHER BRANDS IN THESE SHOCKS
Accuracy + Performance = Results
Accurate valving is key to increased performance and consistent results. Accurate valving is much more than matching a specific number, it's making sure all aspects of the valve are correct before any shock is shipped to the customer. In our shop all valves are spot on every time - no BS upcharge for more accurate valving tolerance.
Customer Support & Service
Support & Service after the sale is important to us - ask our customers, you are more than a number on an invoice.
We offer unmatched customer support that isn't based on your budget or popularity.
Precision Twin Tubes
Twin tube shocks have long been the choice for teams where driver feel and grip are at a premium. In the past, existing brands were pretty crude which made finding really good valving virtually impossible, one valving would be completely different than another even though they were marked the same.

That changed in 2018 when we launched our Precision Twin Tubes where valving accuracy is guaranteed. We did a complete redesign of the twin tube model, using precision parts and shim stack technology throughout, creating an infinitely tunable, precision-based, FADE FREE shock that performs as well as any mono tube regardless track condition.

We start with full synthetic fluid that was formulated for high temperature stability, exclusive to our brand. Combine that with our process of vacuuming the air out of the fluid before every shock is assembled and you get a shock that is consistent race after race.

We utilize cutting edge software to design and test everything 100% in-house from start to finish before it is ever put on the market. This creates the highest quality,
best performing products available at any price.

Our exclusive 2 piston internal design allows us to create any type of valving we want by separating the compression and rebound into totally independent valves. This gives us the ability to more precisely tune each side of the valving to the target numbers with an accuracy and repeatability that are 2nd to none.

The final piece to this puzzle is that we keep detailed records of every shock we build so the valve you buy today will be the same as the valve you buy next month or next year.

Bump Springs
Our progressive bump spring assemblies were originally designed for the LR of winged sprint cars but they have proven to be popular with many different applications.
These are the slickest little progressive spring assemblies available. The outer spring compresses about 3/4" before it engages the inner spring so for the first bit of travel the car only reacts to the rate of the outer spring until it engages the inner - then it reacts to the combined rate of both the outer and inner springs together.
We stock 5 rates in our 2" and 3" outer springs, 8 rates in our 2.5" Outer springs. We also stock 3 rates of 1" inner springs and 4 rates of 1.5" inner springs. With multiple rates of outer and inner springs, you have a wide range of progressive spring combinations to choose from.

Bump Diamonds
Our new Bump Diamonds were developed to be a better option for teams with drivers who like the less active feel of a bump rubber but
hate replacing their foam stops over and over as the material simply isn't designed to handle the applications they are being used for. The material these diamonds are made from is designed for this type of application and will stand up to the demands of today's racing.
They are 2" tall and are available in a wide range of stiffness. The 1/2" ID version will travel approximately 1.2" before they become solid and the 5/8" ID versions will travel approximately 1.060 before they become solid when used with our cups.
The specially designed diamond shape gives a more gradual transition from compression to solid as both sides compress equally as load increases for precise load tuning and a smoother feel on the track.
It is highly recommended that you use these with our specific cups and capsules to contain the expansion under load. If you choose to use another cup that does not contain the expansion you run the risk of failure from over expanding the material.
Each kit comes with compression vs load data from free height to solid.

Bump Springs and Bump Diamonds are sold in kits as well as individual assemblies for a single shock.

I was born into a racing family - As a child my weekends were spent at the local dirt tracks, weeknights in the garage watching and learning the craft from my father who did a lot with very little.

In those days you had to make everything - very few parts if any were available to buy and bolt on. I can remember it like it was yesterday - the basic drawings and crude plans, chalk lines sketched
on the garage floor - The life lessons learned about designing and building something from scratch that pay dividends to this day.

When I was old enough, I began my own racing career - I raced winged sprint cars for 17 years. Over the years I did everything from building my own trailers to building my own engines. I was a good
local racer and had a bit of success, winning 3 track championships and my share of races. I never had the budget I would have liked but I made the most out of very little just as my father had taught me.

Late in my career I was sponsored by the local Penske Shock distributor so I had begun working with the possibilities of tuning shock absorbers in the early 90's. When I retired from driving in the late
90's I took a job at that Penske distributor as a shock technician - working with all types of racecars and applications.

A year or so later I left Penske for a job with a Nascar Cup Series team. I spent nearly a decade as a shock specialist in the Nascar Cup Series and was fortunate to have been in victory lane multiple
times over the years - most notably my years at Roush Racing as the shock specialist for the 99 of Carl Edwards where I also did the catch can duties on pit stops.

The years at Roush were priceless as we had a powerhouse line-up of drivers - Mark Martin, Kurt Busch, Matt Kenseth, Greg Biffle and Carl Edwards. Every team in the shop was winning races, Matt Kenseth and Kurt Busch both won the Cup Series Championship during these years. It was an amazing time to be part of the organization and it's success week after week.
The knowledge and experience gained during those years helps shape my vision and approach to everything I do. I design and create products that are 2nd to none in quality and performance, the
kind of products that I would want on my car if I was still racing and I have built my business by treating everyone like they are the most important customer I have.
